Digital readingdesk for Bravis hospital
A digital reading table has recently been added to the waiting room of the Pediatric Clinic in Bergen op zoom. While waiting, children and their parents can watch a video or play a game on the screens. They can also find more information about certain examinations or diagnoses.
Wendy Stander, secretary pediatric outpatient clinic is pleased with the arrival of the digital reading table: “The digital reading table really has added value for our outpatient clinic. Our patients are becoming increasingly digital. With the screens we can make the waiting time more pleasant for them. ”
Not just entertainment
The digital reading table will also be used as a tool to provide children and their parents with more information about a specific examination or diagnosis. For example, different doctors want children to fill in a questionnaire or look up information after an appointment.
Nice gesture
The digital reading table was donated by Nestand Holland from Tholen. The company celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. Instead of gifts, they asked invitees to make a donation for the Friends of the Bravis Hospital Foundation. Thanks to this beautiful gesture, the wish for a digital reading table for the Pediatric Outpatient Clinic has come true. Together with BravE, the hospital’s innovation team worked out the idea.
